Freightos is set to expand its air cargo offering with the addition of capacity from Air Serbia, enhancing booking options for freight forwarders and shippers.

The integration will allow users of the Freightos platform to access Air Serbia’s cargo space, enabling real-time rate comparison, booking, and shipment management through a single digital interface. The move reflects the growing shift toward digitalisation in the air cargo sector.

Air Serbia’s inclusion is expected to strengthen connectivity between Europe and key global markets, offering additional capacity on routes linking Southeast Europe with major cargo hubs. This will provide forwarders with greater flexibility and improved access to available space.

Industry stakeholders note that digital booking platforms like Freightos are gaining traction as airlines seek to streamline sales processes and improve transparency in pricing and availability.

The partnership is part of a broader trend of airlines joining digital marketplaces to expand their reach and optimise load factors, while offering customers faster and more efficient booking solutions.

With more carriers onboarding such platforms, the air cargo industry is steadily moving toward a more connected and technology-driven ecosystem.
