    Akkon Lines is expanding its Tunisia–Libya shipping service, strengthening maritime connectivity between the two North African markets and creating additional options for regional cargo movements.

    The service enhancement is expected to support growing trade flows between Tunisia and Libya by providing shippers with improved access to regular maritime transportation. The route is important for businesses moving a range of consumer, industrial and commercial goods between the neighbouring countries.

    The expansion will give importers and exporters additional shipping options and could help improve supply-chain efficiency by providing more direct regional connectivity. It may also support faster movement of cargo compared with routing shipments through more distant transshipment hubs.

    Akkon Lines’ move comes as regional shipping operators seek to strengthen intra-Mediterranean and North African services in response to changing trade patterns and customer demand.

    Improved maritime links between Tunisia and Libya could also benefit logistics companies, freight forwarders and other businesses involved in cross-border trade.
