X-Press Feeders has launched its Bohai Feeder X-Press (BHF2) service, restoring a direct feeder shipping connection between Busan, South Korea, and Dalian, China. The move strengthens regional maritime connectivity and provides shippers with an additional option for transporting containerised cargo between the two ports.
The service operates with a single container vessel of approximately 1,700 TEUs and offers weekly sailings. Its port rotation is Busan–Dalian–Busan, providing a direct link between South Korea and China’s Bohai Sea region.
The relaunch restores the connection following the closure of X-Press Feeders’ previous BHF2A service in 2025. The renewed service is expected to improve shipping options for businesses moving goods between the two major Northeast Asian trading centres.
Busan is a key transshipment hub in South Korea, while Dalian serves as an important port for northern China’s manufacturing and commercial industries. The direct feeder connection can support regional distribution and provide shippers with greater flexibility in planning container movements.
The service restoration highlights ongoing adjustments in intra-Asia feeder networks as shipping lines respond to regional cargo demand and connectivity requirements. Weekly sailings are expected to provide regular shipping opportunities for exporters, importers and freight forwarders operating along the route.
