V & V Comptech Systems Private Limited has announced plans to launch a new Gate Slot Booking App aimed at simplifying cargo pickup and delivery coordination across Container Freight Stations (CFSs), Inland Container Depots (ICDs) and dry ports.

The proposed mobile application will provide a common booking platform through which Customs House Agents (CHAs) and transporters can manage cargo pickup and delivery slots across participating facilities, eliminating the need to use separate facility-specific applications.

The app will enable users to select a facility, book pickup or delivery slots, submit cargo, vehicle and driver details, upload relevant documents, check booking approvals and receive status updates. It will also provide visibility of cargo movements from gate-in through loading or unloading to gate-out.

According to the company, the initiative aims to improve coordination between facility operators, CHAs and transporters through advance booking and better planning of truck arrivals.

For CFS and ICD operators, the platform is expected to streamline arrival management, facilitate advance verification of booking information and improve communication with customers. It also aims to reduce gate congestion, truck queues and driver waiting times while improving truck turnaround times and fleet utilisation.

The company stated that the application is designed to work with CFSMag+EE, with integration options also available for facilities using other CFS and ICD software platforms.

The unified booking solution is expected to bring greater operational efficiency and predictability to cargo movement across participating logistics facilities.
