Dr. A. Sakthivel, the Tirupur Exporters’ Association’s (TEA) founder and honorary chairman, organised an interaction meeting with Chief Commissioner of Customs S.K. Vimalanathan IRS and Additional Commissioner of Customs Vijay Vel Krishna IRS at the TEA Office.

Participants included representatives of member companies, Dr. A. Sakthivel, the Association’s President K. M. Subramanian, General Secretary N. Thirukkumaran, Treasurer R. Gopalakrishnan, Joint Secretary Kumar Duraiswamy, Executive Committee Member M. Anand, and Vice Chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) R. Ramu.

Dr. A. Sakthivel thanked S.K. Vimalanathan and Vijay Vel Krishna for their visit to the Tirupur Cluster and their attendance at the meeting with Tirupur exporters to answer their questions and concerns regarding customs.

    M. Subramanian thanked the customs officials and enumerated the difficulties that the exporters were facing, including the fact that data uploaded through the DGFT portal was not reflected in the EDPMS, IDPMS, and ICEGATE portals; that the balance of ROSCTL and RODTEP in the exporters’ accounts was incorrect; that the exporters were receiving the wrong Demand Notices; and so on. He asked the customs officials to investigate and resolve the issues.
