Air India SATS Airport Services Pvt. Ltd. (AISATS) has announced the appointment of Salim Chaudhary as its Chief Operations Officer (COO), effective immediately, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen operational leadership and enhance airport services across India.

Chaudhary brings over two decades of experience in airport operations, cargo handling, and aviation management, having held senior roles at prominent organizations in India and abroad. His appointment is expected to drive operational efficiency, improve service delivery, and expand AISATS’ footprint in airport cargo and passenger handling services.

In a statement, Salim Chaudhary said, “I am honoured to join AISATS at a time of rapid growth in India’s aviation sector. I look forward to working with our dedicated teams to enhance operational excellence, deliver world-class services, and support Air India’s ambitious expansion plans.”

AISATS, a joint venture between Air India and SATS Ltd. Singapore, provides ground handling, cargo, and passenger services at key airports across India. The company has been investing in technology, workforce training, and infrastructure upgrades to meet the growing demands of India’s aviation industry.

Industry analysts said Chaudhary’s appointment is likely to strengthen AISATS’ operational capabilities as the company handles increased cargo volumes and passenger traffic, particularly amid India’s growing role as a global aviation hub.
