In a significant step toward sustainable freight transportation, AVG Logistics has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Baidyanath LNG Pvt. Ltd. to jointly promote LNG-powered truck transportation across the Vidarbha and Central regions of India, with a long-term plan to scale operations nationwide.

Under the collaboration, the partners plan to deploy 200 LNG-powered trucks, marking a major milestone in the transition to cleaner and greener logistics solutions. The initiative will primarily serve key sectors, including steel, metals, cement, and FMCG, which depend heavily on large-scale and efficient logistics networks.

The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of LNG trucks by offering a low-emission and cost-effective alternative to conventional diesel vehicles. LNG-powered transportation is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions, lower fuel costs, and support India’s broader goals of energy transition and sustainable development.

The MOU aligns strongly with AVG Logistics’ ESG and sustainability objectives, reinforcing the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and service reliability. Baidyanath LNG Pvt. Ltd., leveraging its expertise in LNG supply and infrastructure, will play a key role in ensuring reliable fuel availability and operational support for the LNG truck fleet.

Together, the two companies aim to set new benchmarks in sustainable logistics and contribute meaningfully to India’s green mobility and decarbonisation efforts.
