Blue Energy Motors has received an order for 50 LNG trucks from Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), expanding their existing fleet to over 175 trucks. This second tender reinforces Blue Energy Motors’ commitment to sustainable transportation and builds upon their previous deployments.

Deliveries are expected to begin by the end of March 2025. This partnership aims to reduce carbon emissions in India’s freight sector and contribute to the country’s net-zero goals.

Green energy solutions in India’s logistics sector

Blue Energy Motors, a company specialising in LNG-powered heavy-duty trucks, has secured its second order from CONCOR. This agreement marks a significant step in the adoption of green energy solutions within India’s logistics sector. The order will bring the total number of Blue Energy Motors’ LNG trucks operating with CONCOR to more than 175.

This new order follows a previous successful deployment of over 125 LNG trucks by Blue Energy Motors for CONCOR. The expansion highlights the growing demand for cleaner transportation alternatives in India. The additional 50 trucks are scheduled to be delivered by the end of March 2025, further solidifying the partnership between the two companies.

Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO, Blue Energy Motors, said: “We are proud to continue our partnership with CONCOR in driving the transition to cleaner and sustainable logistics. This expansion further strengthens our leadership in LNG trucking and reinforces our commitment to decarbonizing India’s freight transportation sector. We remain focused on delivering innovative and reliable solutions that align with India’s net-zero ambitions.”

    Use of alternative fuels

Blue Energy Motors is actively promoting the use of alternative fuels in heavy-duty trucking. Their LNG-powered trucks are designed to reduce carbon emissions by up to 40% compared to traditional diesel trucks. This technology offers a more sustainable option without compromising performance or efficiency.

The company’s continued investment in LNG technology demonstrates its commitment to India’s clean energy transition. The partnership with CONCOR positions Blue Energy Motors as a leader in the sustainable commercial vehicle segment. This focus on clean energy aligns with India’s broader environmental sustainability goals and its efforts to decarbonise long-haul transportation.
