The Central Government has approved highway development projects worth ₹14,115 crore across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh as part of efforts to improve regional connectivity, ease traffic congestion, and strengthen road infrastructure.
The projects are expected to enhance transport links between key urban and industrial areas, improve freight movement, and support economic growth in the region. The investment will focus on upgrading and expanding highway networks to improve travel efficiency and logistics connectivity.
The initiative aligns with the government’s broader infrastructure development programme aimed at creating modern, high-capacity transport corridors across the country.
