DHL Supply Chain has entered into a strategic alliance with IKEA to support the retailer’s expanding omni-channel operations in India, marking a significant step in strengthening supply chain capabilities for large-format retail.

The collaboration is designed to address the growing complexity of India’s retail logistics landscape, with a strong emphasis on scalability, agility, and resilience. As IKEA accelerates its footprint across physical and digital channels, DHL Supply Chain will play a critical role in enabling seamless distribution and inventory management.

Under the partnership, the two companies are establishing a flexible, multi-site warehousing and distribution network across key logistics hubs in Pune and Bhiwandi. The model has been specifically designed to handle varied go-live timelines, fluctuating inbound volumes, and phased outbound requirements—ensuring operational continuity amid dynamic market conditions.

DHL Supply Chain’s ability to rapidly scale warehousing infrastructure and adapt to shifting demand patterns is expected to support IKEA’s long-term sourcing and growth strategy in India. The partnership also underscores the importance of integrated logistics solutions in driving efficiency and customer satisfaction in an increasingly omni-channel retail environment.

By combining global best practices with localized execution, the alliance aims to set new benchmarks in supply chain excellence, while reinforcing both companies’ commitment to innovation, reliability, and sustainable growth in India’s fast-evolving retail sector.
