Gujarat Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (G-RIDE) continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing rail-based logistics for the automobile sector.

The Maruti Suzuki India Limited rail siding at Hansalpur, executed by G-RIDE through its project SPV, BRCL, has emerged as a key infrastructure milestone. Since its commissioning, the facility has enabled the dispatch of over 3,000 rakes, facilitating the movement of more than 6,00,000 passenger vehicles across the country.

This project has significantly contributed to increasing the rail share in automobile transportation from just 6% to 25%, in line with the objectives of the National Rail Plan 2030. The shift underscores railways’ growing importance as a sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective mode for large-scale automobile logistics.

The successful execution of the Hansalpur rail siding reflects G-RIDE’s strong project implementation capabilities and its commitment to seamlessly connecting industrial hubs with the national railway network, thereby supporting India’s long-term logistics and infrastructure development goals.
