Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with Laghu Udyog Bharati and the Customs Department, organised an awareness seminar on the Eligible Importer Manufacturer (EMI) Scheme at Chamber Bhavan.

GCCI President Teja Kangad said the scheme would greatly benefit import-oriented industries, especially Kutch’s timber sector. Customs AEO Cell Superintendent Vinay Charan explained that the EMI Scheme offers benefits such as deferred duty payment, tax concessions and faster customs clearance for eligible manufacturers.

GCCI Hon. Secretary Mahesh Tirthani said the scheme would support industries amid ongoing global trade challenges and urged businesses to utilise the initiative effectively.
