Mumbai-based logistics technology firm iThink Logistics (ITL) has launched an AI-powered Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) platform designed to simplify cross-border e-commerce for Indian exporters.

The new solution enables businesses to access all-inclusive international shipping rates upfront—covering freight, duties, and taxes—thereby reducing uncertainty and post-purchase friction.

According to ITL, the platform combines enterprise-grade compliance infrastructure with SME-first affordability, offering exporters real-time, country-specific duty and tax estimates that dynamically adapt to regulatory changes in markets such as the US and EU, including recent developments like new US tariffs on Indian goods.

At the heart of the system is an AI-driven Duty and Tax Classification Engine, powered by generative AI trained on global customs data. The tool automatically classifies millions of SKUs to their correct HSN (Harmonised System of Nomenclature) codes based on titles, descriptions, and images, ensuring accuracy and compliance in highly regulated global trade.

“Indian SMEs have long been underserved by solutions built primarily for large exporters,” said Zaiba Sarang, co-founder of iThink Logistics. “Our DDP platform and AI-powered duty engine equip SMEs to compete confidently on the global stage, eliminating cost unpredictability, reducing shipping friction, and mitigating compliance risks throughout their growth journey.”

The DDP model is integrated into ITL’s booking dashboard and APIs, with compatibility for major e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy, and custom storefronts.

By removing the need for customers to pay duties at delivery, the platform aims to enhance cross-border buyer experiences while streamlining compliance for exporters.
