Kalyani Cast Tech Ltd is set to inaugurate its Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal at Shivlakha, Kutch, on September 14, 2026, marking a major step towards strengthening rail-based logistics and multimodal connectivity in the region.
The event, scheduled for 2:00 PM, will feature the flagging off of a bulk salt train and the laying of the foundation stone for an Inland Container Depot (ICD) at the facility.
Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Government of India, will inaugurate the initiatives through video conference.
The integrated logistics infrastructure is expected to enhance rail connectivity for bulk cargo, support more efficient cargo movement and create improved linkages between industrial and trade centres in Kutch and national logistics networks.
The initiative is being positioned as a contribution towards strengthening rail connectivity, enabling efficient logistics and advancing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The inauguration will be followed by a lunch gathering for industry stakeholders and guests, providing an opportunity for networking and interaction.
