Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of India’s Maharashtra state, recently announced plans to set up a dedicated logistics hub in Dhule to speed up industrial expansion and improve urban infrastructure in the region.

He announced this at a high-level meeting in Mumbai to address developmental issues of the Dhule City assembly constituency, a post on the Fadnavis’ X handle said.

Fadnavis directed officials to assess the technical, financial and logistical viability of the proposed hub and proceed based on expert recommendations.

To address seasonal flooding, he instructed the disaster management department for coordinated efforts, particularly in low-lying areas.

He also called for fast-tracking solar power projects with battery storage to help reduce the annual electricity cost incurred by the municipal corporation for water supply and street lighting.
