    he Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW), in collaboration with NTCPWC–IIT Madras, National Maritime Complex and Chennai Port Authority, successfully hosted MAR-a-THON 2025, a flagship platform dedicated to advancing Research, Innovation, Startups & Entrepreneurship (RISE) in the maritime sector.

    The one-day event served as a vibrant hub for knowledge exchange and industry collaboration, featuring thematic workshops, a start-up exhibition and a roadshow in the run-up to India Maritime Week 2025.

    The gathering was graced by the presence of Shri T.K. Ramachandran, IAS, Secretary, MoPSW, and Shri R. Lakshmanan, IAS, Joint Secretary (Ports), MoPSW, alongside distinguished delegates, policymakers, industry leaders and innovators from across the maritime ecosystem.

    MAR-a-THON 2025 reaffirmed MoPSW’s commitment to fostering innovation-driven growth, empowering start-ups and entrepreneurs, and strengthening India’s position as a global maritime hub.
