V O Chidambaranar (VOC) Port convened the kick-off meeting for the establishment of a Green Methanol Bunkering and Refueling Facility, in collaboration with M/s. Sopan O&M Company Private Limited and M/s. Rina Consulting Pvt. Ltd.

The initiative is a key step toward developing a Coastal Green Shipping Corridor between Kandla and Tuticorin, reinforcing VOC Port’s positioning as a green fuel bunkering hub.

Funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the project will catalyze the creation of critical infrastructure, including bunkering and refueling stations, storage solutions, and distribution networks. This development is expected to boost investor confidence and accelerate the establishment of a comprehensive green fuel ecosystem in India’s maritime sector.
