NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDSL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab, to accelerate the digital transformation of the state’s logistics ecosystem through the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP).
The agreement was signed in the presence of Punjab’s Industries & Commerce Minister, Shri Aman Arora, with the objective of enhancing logistics visibility, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making through real-time data exchange.
Under the partnership, ULIP will facilitate seamless digital integration across logistics stakeholders, benefiting industries, MSMEs, exporters, and government departments by providing improved access to logistics data and services.
The MoU was signed by Shri Takayuki Kano, CEO of NLDSL, and Shri Jaspreet Singh, IAS, Director, Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab. The signing ceremony was attended by Shri Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, IAS, Administrative Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab.
The initiative is being implemented under the leadership of Shri Rajat Kumar Saini, IAS, CEO and Managing Director of the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) and Chairman of NLDSL.
Following the signing, NLDSL conducted an interactive workshop on the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), bringing together representatives from key state departments, including Transport, Warehousing, Public Distribution System (PDS), Public Works Department (PWD), Civil Aviation, and other logistics stakeholders.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen Punjab’s logistics infrastructure by promoting greater transparency, digital connectivity, and coordinated decision-making across the supply chain. By leveraging ULIP’s digital capabilities, the partnership aims to create a more efficient, integrated, and technology-driven logistics ecosystem, supporting economic growth and improving the ease of doing business in the state.
