OOCL has launched a new container shipping service connecting the West Mediterranean with Canada, expanding its network between the two regions.
The new service is designed to strengthen maritime connectivity between major ports in the Western Mediterranean and Canadian gateways, providing shippers with an additional option for moving containerised cargo across the Atlantic.
The service will support trade flows involving manufactured goods, consumer products, industrial cargo and other containerised commodities moving between Europe and North America.
For exporters and importers, additional direct or dedicated shipping options can improve network flexibility and provide greater choice when planning international cargo movements. The new connection may also support more efficient supply-chain links between Mediterranean production centres and Canadian markets.
OOCL’s latest network expansion comes as carriers continue to adjust service patterns in response to changing trade flows and customer requirements. Strengthening connections between regional markets allows shipping lines to offer broader coverage and improve access to key global trade lanes.
The new West Mediterranean–Canada service further expands OOCL’s transatlantic network and provides customers with another shipping option between the two markets.
