Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is set to visit Chhattisgarh on November 1, 2025, to participate in Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav marking 25 years of formation of the state. During his visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for ₹14,260 crore worth of infrastructure projects.
Among these, he will lay the foundation stone for the four-lane greenfield highway from Pathalgaon–Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh–Jharkhand border under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. The ₹3,150 crore corridor will link coal mines, industrial areas, and steel plants across Korba, Raigarh, Jashpur, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur.
The Prime Minister will also initiate works on NH-130D (Narayanpur–Kasturmeta–Kutul–Nilangur–Maharashtra border) and inaugurate the upgraded NH-130C (Madangmuda–Deobhog–Odisha border), aimed at improving access and trade routes in tribal and interior regions.
In the power sector, Modi will inaugurate the Inter-Regional Eastern–Western Interconnection Project to enhance power transfer capacity between the two grids by 1,600 MW. He will dedicate and lay foundations for additional power projects worth over ₹3,750 crore, including nine new substations built at a cost of ₹480 crore, benefiting over 15 lakh people.
Under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme, works worth about ₹1,860 crore will be dedicated to strengthening power lines, transformers, and rural networks. Foundation stones for further substations and transmission projects worth ₹1,415 crore will also be laid.
Modi will inaugurate HPCL’s new Petroleum Oil Depot in Raipur, built at a cost of ₹460 crore with a storage capacity of 54,000 kilolitres. The facility is expected to improve fuel supply across Chhattisgarh and adjoining states while supporting ethanol blending.
He will also dedicate the 489 km Nagpur–Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline, constructed at a cost of ₹1,950 crore. The pipeline connects 11 districts of Chhattisgarh to the National Gas Grid and is aimed at expanding access to cleaner fuel and promoting industrial development.
Further, the Prime Minister will lay foundation stones for two Smart Industrial Areas — at Siladehi–Gatwa–Birra in Janjgir–Champa district and at Bijletala in Rajnandgaon district — along with a Pharmaceutical Park at Sector 22, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
As part of the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav marking 25 years of statehood, he will also inaugurate the new building of the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
At the new Assembly complex, which has been designed on the green building concept, the PM will also unveil a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The structure is planned to run entirely on solar energy and includes a rainwater harvesting system. He will address a public gathering on the occasion as well.
During his visit, Modi will inaugurate the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial & Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum and participate in the ‘Gift of Life’ interaction with children treated for congenital heart disease. He will also inaugurate “Shanti Shikhar,” a spiritual learning and meditation centre of the Brahma Kumaris.
