The Port of Barcelona has launched its new 2026–2030 strategic plan, outlining a roadmap centered on sustainable growth, digital transformation, and stronger logistics competitiveness. The strategy is designed to reinforce the port’s position as a leading Mediterranean trade gateway while addressing evolving supply chain demands.

Key priorities of the plan include expanding infrastructure capacity, accelerating decarbonization initiatives, and enhancing intermodal transport links with inland markets. The port also aims to advance smart port technologies, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen collaboration with shipping lines, logistics providers, and industrial stakeholders.

Officials said the strategy reflects the need for resilient and future-ready port operations amid changing global trade patterns. Through the 2026–2030 plan, the Port of Barcelona seeks to drive economic value, environmental responsibility, and long-term competitiveness for the regional and international logistics sector.
