Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has expanded its inland rail connectivity across Australia as part of efforts to strengthen domestic supply chains and improve cargo movement efficiency. The move is designed to provide customers with faster and more reliable intermodal transport solutions linking ports with major inland markets.

The expanded network will enhance connections between key Australian container terminals and distribution hubs, helping reduce transit times while offering an alternative to road freight. By increasing rail capacity, MSC aims to support importers and exporters with more sustainable and cost-effective logistics options.

The development comes as demand grows for integrated transport services that combine sea, rail, and road networks. MSC said the enhanced inland rail offering will improve cargo visibility, service flexibility, and end-to-end supply chain resilience for customers across Australia.
