RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd., India’s first integrated manufacturer of solar PV modules and key components, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art 3 GW AI-powered, fully automated solar module manufacturing facility at IndoSpace Industrial Park, Khopoli.

Spread across over 7 lakh sq. ft., the new facility marks a significant expansion of RenewSys’s manufacturing footprint and strengthens its role in India’s domestic solar ecosystem. With the commissioning of this plant, the company’s total solar module manufacturing capacity rises to 5.6 GW, reinforcing its position as a key contributor to the country’s clean energy ambitions.

Strategically located near Mumbai with strong multimodal connectivity, the Khopoli facility is expected to enhance operational efficiency, streamline supply chains, and enable faster access to both domestic and international markets.

The facility was inaugurated by Saif Dhorajiwala, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fourth Partner Energy, who attended as the Chief Guest.

Designed as a next-generation manufacturing unit, the plant integrates AI-enabled automation, advanced production technologies, and real-time digital monitoring systems to ensure high precision, efficiency, and consistent product quality. The facility supports high-volume production, scalable expansion, and robust quality control mechanisms.

Speaking at the inauguration, Avinash Hiranandani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of RenewSys, said the new plant represents a major milestone in the company’s growth strategy. He emphasized that as India accelerates its renewable energy transition, technology-driven manufacturing capabilities will play a critical role in delivering high-performance solar solutions at scale while maintaining quality and sustainability.
