V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) has augmented its cargo handling capacity with the arrival and unloading of two new Harbour Mobile Cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 120 tonnes.

With their induction, the Port’s fleet strength of Harbour Mobile Cranes has risen to nine, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and productivity, particularly in the handling of bulk cargo and windmill components.

The newly acquired cranes were shipped from the Port of Rostock, Germany, marking another milestone in VOC Port’s ongoing efforts to modernize infrastructure and strengthen its position as a leading maritime hub in South India.
