In a landmark achievement, VIKRA Ocean Tech Pvt. Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Maritime India Foundation (MIF), and the National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways and Coasts (NTCPWC) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
The MoU exchange and award ceremony took place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, marking a proud milestone for VIKRA Ocean Tech following its recognition as one of the winners of the Marathon Challenge.
The collaboration aims to accelerate the development and deployment of autonomous and intelligent maritime technologies, reinforcing India’s vision for a smarter and more sustainable maritime future.
VIKRA Ocean Tech showcased its proven equipment portfolio designed for diverse maritime applications, including:
Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV) for efficient, wide-area hydrographic and bathymetric surveys
Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) for high-resolution asset inspection and subsea recovery
Underwater Crawlers (UCR/ACR) for sediment analysis and confined space inspection
The award was received by Rajaguru Nathan K, CEO of VIKRA Ocean Tech Pvt. Ltd., who dedicated the achievement to the company’s team and partners.
