V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority welcomed Shri E.S. Nagendra Prasad, IRS, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, during his official visit to the port.
Shri Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson of VOC Port, along with senior officials, received the distinguished guest and briefed him on the port’s operational and developmental milestones.
As part of the visit, Shri Prasad undertook an extensive tour of key port facilities, including the Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT), where he observed marine operations and cargo handling processes firsthand.
The engagement served as an important platform to highlight ongoing infrastructure upgrades and explore opportunities for deeper institutional collaboration, with a shared commitment to strengthening governance efficiency and driving regional economic growth.
