Pilbara Ports recorded a total throughput of 71.2 million tonnes (Mt) in October 2025, representing a 14 per cent increase compared with October 2024.

The Port of Port Hedland handled 50.4 Mt, including 49.5 Mt of iron ore exports, a 9 per cent rise in total throughput year-on-year.

Imports through Port Hedland reached 198,000 tonnes, also up 9 per cent compared with October 2024.

The Port of Dampier achieved a total throughput of 16.9 Mt, a 17 per cent increase from the same month last year. Imports at Dampier rose 70 per cent, totalling 139,000 tonnes.

Throughput fluctuations are influenced by market conditions, port maintenance activities, and proponent requirements.

In August, Pilbara Ports released its first Climate Action Plan (2025–2030), setting a framework to guide sustainable port operations and support decarbonisation across the Pilbara region.

One month later, Pilbara Ports delivered a total monthly throughput of 68.5 Mt.
