Shashi Kiran Shetty, Founder and Executive Chairman of Allcargo Group and Chairman of the Board of Governance at IIM Mumbai, has been conferred with the prestigious “One World One Family Global Leadership Award.” The honour, presented by an esteemed Selection Committee chaired by cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, recognises Shetty’s significant contributions to global business leadership and his commitment to humanitarian values.

Expressing his gratitude, Shetty said he was “deeply humbled” by the recognition, describing it as a collective achievement rather than a personal milestone. Reflecting on his four-decade entrepreneurial journey, he recalled his early years driven by “little more than determination and a dream” and acknowledged the many influences that shaped his leadership ethos.

He extended heartfelt appreciation to his family—including his mother, mother-in-law, wife Arathi, son Vaishnav Shetty, and daughter Shloka Shetty—as well as colleagues, partners, and community members who have been part of his journey. “To the entire Allcargo family: your passion, integrity, and dedication have been the pillars that made this journey possible. This award belongs to all of you,” he said.

Shetty emphasised that true leadership is rooted in empathy, integrity, and shared purpose. He also lauded the One World One Family Foundation, led by Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, for its transformative work in providing free nutrition, healthcare, and education across geographies. Their mission, he noted, is a living embodiment of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the ancient Indian belief that the world is one family.

Calling the award not just a recognition but a responsibility, Shetty said it serves as a reminder to “continue serving, learning, and leading with courage and kindness.”
