Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR) has taken a significant step toward sustainable logistics by deploying 230 LNG-powered trucks for its First and Last Mile (FMLM) services. The initiative aims to reduce the environmental footprint of cargo transport while improving operational efficiency.
The LNG trucks offer multiple benefits, including lower carbon emissions, reduced noise levels, and cost savings on fuel. To support this transition, CONCOR has established India’s first LNG fueling station at its Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Kathuwas, with a second station under development at MMLP Dadri.
Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director of CONCOR, said, “Every mile matters. Cleaner fuel, quieter movement, and smarter logistics together shape a more responsible supply chain. LNG-powered first and last mile connectivity is a step towards logistics that respects both efficiency and the environment.”
This deployment underscores CONCOR’s commitment to green logistics solutions while enhancing the cost-effectiveness and reliability of cargo transport across India.
