V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin has reported robust year-on-year growth across both energy and agricultural cargo segments during April–December 2025–26, highlighting its rising importance in India’s trade and logistics ecosystem.
Diesel oil cargo handled at the Port surged by 42.64% compared to the same period in 2024–25, reflecting enhanced operational efficiency, reliable infrastructure, and the Port’s growing role in facilitating energy cargo movement to support regional and national trade requirements.
At the same time, the Port registered a 26.29% year-on-year growth in the handling of Cashew Kernel, Fruits and Nuts cargo. This strong performance underscores the Port’s expanding contribution to agri and food commodity trade, particularly for value-added and time-sensitive cargo from southern India.
