The New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) has reinforced its position as the preferred gateway for Indian coffee exports, handling a significant share of the country’s outbound shipments during the current financial year.

In the first nine months of FY 2025–26, the port facilitated the movement of 1.36 lakh metric tonnes of coffee, largely catering to exports from Karnataka, India’s leading coffee-producing state.

The strong throughput underscores NMPA’s strategic importance in India’s agri-export ecosystem, supported by efficient port infrastructure, reliable cargo handling, and seamless connectivity to global markets. The performance further highlights the port’s growing role in strengthening India’s position in international agricultural trade.
