TVS Supply Chain Solutions has entered into a strategic partnership with Italy-based ALA Group to strengthen capabilities in India’s fast-growing defence and aerospace logistics market.
Under the collaboration, the two companies aim to combine their expertise in integrated supply chain management and aerospace component distribution to support defence manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) operating in India. The partnership is expected to focus on end-to-end logistics, inventory management, sourcing and aftermarket support.
Industry observers said the move aligns with India’s push for greater indigenisation and localisation in defence production under the government’s “Make in India” and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. With rising defence budgets and increased private sector participation, demand for specialised supply chain solutions in aerospace and defence has grown steadily.
ALA brings domain expertise in aerospace and defence component distribution across global markets, while TVS Supply Chain offers a strong domestic footprint, warehousing infrastructure and multimodal logistics capabilities.
The companies indicated that the alliance will seek to enhance service reliability, reduce lead times and ensure compliance with stringent quality and regulatory standards required in the defence sector.
Market participants believe the collaboration could position both firms to capitalise on upcoming defence manufacturing programmes and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) opportunities in India.
