The JSW Mangalore Coal Terminal at New Mangalore Port Authority achieved two major operational milestones on February 23, 2026, underscoring its efficiency, coordination, and logistics strength.

The terminal recorded its highest-ever cargo dispatch since inception, moving an impressive 34,639 metric tons in a single day through integrated rail and road operations. The record dispatch included the coordinated movement of 489 trucks and 5 rakes, reflecting seamless planning and execution.

In another significant achievement, the terminal handled the maximum number of coal rakes in a single day, efficiently managing five rakes, thereby setting a new benchmark in rake handling capacity and turnaround efficiency.

These milestones demonstrate the strong collaboration among port authorities, railways, logistics partners, and terminal operators in enhancing cargo evacuation and strengthening the supply chain. The achievement also reinforces the terminal’s critical role in supporting India’s energy security through efficient coal movement.

The accomplishment stands as a testament to the dedication, teamwork, and operational excellence of the JSW Mangalore Coal Terminal team and its stakeholders.
