Asia Shipping India has marked another significant milestone in its rail logistics operations with the simultaneous flag-off of two block trains from ICD Morbi to Mundra Port. The move reinforces the company’s growing commitment to strengthening multimodal connectivity and enhancing export linkages to key markets in Latin America.

The dual train movement represents the sixth block train service operated by the company in the current financial year, underscoring its focus on developing consistent, high-volume rail solutions for exporters. By leveraging dedicated rail corridors, Asia Shipping India aims to offer faster transit times, improved cargo handling efficiency, and reduced dependency on road transport.

The ICD Morbi–Mundra route plays a crucial role in facilitating exports from Gujarat’s industrial clusters, particularly ceramics, tiles, and engineering goods, which have seen rising demand in Latin American markets. With Mundra Port serving as a major gateway for international shipments, the integrated rail service is expected to streamline cargo flow and ensure better schedule reliability for long-haul ocean freight.

Company officials noted that the initiative aligns with broader industry efforts to promote sustainable logistics by shifting freight from road to rail, thereby lowering carbon emissions and easing congestion on key highways. The deployment of block trains also enables better cargo aggregation, optimized capacity utilization, and cost efficiencies for customers.

With increasing trade volumes between India and Latin America, Asia Shipping India continues to invest in scalable logistics infrastructure and multimodal capabilities. The latest development highlights the company’s strategic push to strengthen inland connectivity while supporting exporters with dependable and efficient supply chain solutions.
