Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GH2 Solar Ltd. to undertake a Joint Feasibility Study and develop a Strategic Roadmap for enabling the export of Liquid Green Hydrogen from Kandla Port.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in India’s clean energy transition, positioning Kandla as a potential hub for green hydrogen production and export. The proposed initiative aims to explore the technical, commercial, and logistical requirements needed to establish a robust green hydrogen ecosystem at the port.

Officials highlighted that the project aligns with India’s broader vision of becoming a global leader in green hydrogen under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. By leveraging its strategic location and existing infrastructure, Kandla Port is expected to play a key role in facilitating sustainable maritime operations and reducing carbon emissions.

The partnership also underscores DPA’s commitment to future-ready port development, integrating renewable energy solutions and supporting global decarbonization efforts. If successfully implemented, the initiative could significantly boost India’s clean energy exports while reinforcing its position in the emerging global hydrogen economy.
