Global supply chain company DP World is expanding its electric truck programme for UK logistics operators, supporting the transition toward cleaner and more sustainable freight transport.

The initiative aims to provide hauliers with greater access to electric vehicle technology while helping reduce emissions from road freight operations. The expanded trial will allow more logistics companies to evaluate the performance and suitability of electric trucks in daily transport activities.

The programme forms part of DP World’s wider sustainability strategy to lower carbon emissions across its logistics network and support greener supply chains.

As the freight sector faces increasing pressure to reduce environmental impact, electric truck adoption is gaining momentum as companies explore alternatives to traditional diesel-powered transport.

DP World’s expanded trial highlights the growing role of low-emission technologies in modern logistics, with the company continuing to invest in solutions that improve efficiency and support long-term decarbonisation goals.
