Global logistics operator DP World has launched EcoRoute, a new suite of solutions aimed at helping businesses improve supply chain efficiency while reducing carbon emissions.

The EcoRoute platform combines network design, lower-carbon logistics options, carbon insetting programmes and emissions measurement tools to support customers in meeting sustainability goals.

In 2025, DP World generated more than 9,400 tonnes of verified CO₂ insets through its carbon inset programmes at Southampton and London Gateway, covering cargo flows of approximately 257,000 TEU and delivering emissions reductions within customers’ logistics value chains.

In India, the company achieved a 78% reduction in transport emissions on the Chennai–Kolkata corridor by shifting cargo movements from road transport to a multimodal rail-and-coastal shipping solution.

EcoRoute also features a Carbon Emissions Calculator powered by EcoTransIT World and aligned with ISO 14083 standards, providing end-to-end visibility of emissions across different transport modes.

Beat Simon, Group Chief Operating Officer, Logistics at DP World, said EcoRoute enables customers to reduce emissions while improving supply chain efficiency and resilience through the company’s integrated global logistics network, data capabilities and operational expertise.
