India-Oman trade relations received a boost with the launch of the first biscuit export shipment from Varanasi to Oman, marking a new milestone for regional manufacturers and India’s food export sector.

The shipment highlights growing opportunities for Indian packaged food products in overseas markets, with exporters aiming to expand their presence in the Gulf region. The move is expected to encourage more small and medium-sized businesses from Uttar Pradesh to explore international markets.

The first consignment reflects increasing demand for Indian food products abroad and supports broader efforts to strengthen trade connections between India and Oman.

Industry stakeholders said the development could open new export channels for local producers while contributing to India’s growing processed food export portfolio. The initiative also aligns with efforts to promote regional products and increase India’s participation in global trade.
