    Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has reported strong growth in cargo and container handling during the first quarter of FY 2026-27, reflecting sustained operational efficiency and rising trade volumes.

    During the April-June 2026 period, JNPA handled 2.25 million TEUs, registering a 15.36% year-on-year growth compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The port also recorded 27.84 million tonnes of total cargo, marking a 15.04% increase over the same period last year.

    The robust performance underscores JNPA’s continued focus on enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening port infrastructure, and facilitating seamless cargo movement. The growth also highlights the port’s expanding role in supporting India’s international trade and logistics ecosystem.

    The strong first-quarter performance positions JNPA on a positive growth trajectory for the remainder of FY 2026-27, reinforcing its status as one of India’s leading container gateways.
