Port Canaveral, Florida: Canaveral Cargo Terminal has marked a significant milestone with the inaugural arrival of the Whale Orca, introducing a new bi-monthly container service in partnership with Green Tide Logistics. The new service further strengthens the terminal’s position as a leading multipurpose gateway serving the Central Florida market.

The 1,100-TEU vessel arrived from Mexico’s east coast on the North-South trade route, carrying a diverse range of import cargo destined for businesses across Central Florida. The addition of the new service enhances regional supply chain connectivity while providing customers with greater flexibility and reliable access to international markets.

The launch expands Canaveral Cargo Terminal’s growing portfolio of cargo operations, complementing its established capabilities in breakbulk, neo-bulk, project cargo, and integrated logistics services.

Luke Richards, Managing Director of GT USA, said the new service reflects the terminal’s continued growth and versatility.

“This new container service further demonstrates the capabilities of Canaveral Cargo Terminal. It complements our established expertise in breakbulk, neo-bulk, project cargo, and our recently launched logistics solutions—strengthening Port Canaveral’s position as one of Florida’s most diversified seaports,”Ā Richards said.

The successful launch was made possible through the collaboration of the Canaveral Port Authority, GT USA, and Green Tide Logistics, reinforcing their shared commitment to expanding cargo services and supporting economic growth across Central Florida.
