Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, organised the Kandla Green Hydrogen Conclave 2026 at its Administrative Office Building in Gandhidham, bringing together thought leaders, industry experts and delegates from India and across the globe to deliberate on green hydrogen and sustainable maritime development.
The conclave commenced with a virtual video message from Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
The event was held in the presence of Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairman, Deendayal Port Authority, Mr. Erik Solheim, former Minister of the Kingdom of Norway and President, International Advisory Board, GH2 India, along with other senior dignitaries and industry representatives.
The conclave featured insightful discussions on green hydrogen, clean energy transition, sustainable port development and emerging green technologies. The deliberations focused on strengthening global collaboration and accelerating the adoption of clean energy solutions in the maritime sector, in line with India’s broader green maritime ambitions.
As part of the conclave, the GH2 delegation visited India’s first Make-in-India 1-MW Green Hydrogen Plant at Kandla, providing delegates with an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the country’s growing green hydrogen capabilities.
The delegation also toured key facilities of Deendayal Port Authority and reviewed its robust infrastructure, operational capabilities and ongoing initiatives focused on green energy and sustainable maritime development.
The Kandla Green Hydrogen Conclave 2026 underscored DPA’s growing role in supporting India’s transition towards cleaner energy and positioning Kandla as an important hub for green hydrogen and sustainable maritime activities.
