V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port) hosted the India Green Fuel Conclave ’26, bringing together stakeholders to discuss India’s transition towards green fuels and sustainable maritime operations.
The conclave focused on opportunities and challenges in developing green fuel ecosystems for the maritime sector, with discussions centred on cleaner energy solutions, infrastructure development and the decarbonisation of shipping and port operations.
The event highlighted the growing role of ports in supporting India’s green energy transition by developing facilities and logistics infrastructure for emerging fuels and enabling their adoption across the maritime value chain.
Stakeholders also discussed the importance of collaboration among ports, shipping companies, energy producers, technology providers and other industry participants to accelerate the development of green fuel supply chains.
The conclave underlined the strategic role of VOC Port in supporting sustainable maritime growth and contributing to India’s broader efforts to reduce emissions from the shipping and logistics sector.
