CMA CGM will temporarily suspend the transatlantic leg of its Panama Direct (PAD) service following the conclusion of the kiwifruit season, according to DynaLiners.
The suspension will remain in effect for 18 weeks, from mid-November 2026 until late March 2027. During this period, the service will continue to offer weekly sailings connecting Australasia with the US East Coast, while calls at North European ports will be discontinued.
The adjustment will enable CMA CGM to withdraw four vessels from the service, reducing the fleet to 11 ships, each with an approximate capacity of 2,500 TEU.
The revised temporary service rotation will be: New York – Savannah – Kingston – Papeete – Noumea – Brisbane – Sydney – Melbourne – Tauranga – Cartagena – Savannah – Philadelphia – New York.
The temporary restructuring is aimed at aligning vessel deployment with seasonal cargo demand while maintaining weekly connectivity between Australasia and the US East Coast.
