Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has marked another significant milestone in strengthening its international air cargo connectivity with the commencement of a dedicated flydubai freighter service between Kochi (COK) and Dubai World Central (DWC).
The inaugural freighter service carried 20.8 tonnes of cargo, marking the second new freighter service to commence operations from CIAL this week.
The new dedicated service is expected to strengthen trade links between Kerala and the UAE by providing faster, more efficient and direct air cargo connectivity. It will offer additional capacity and improved logistics options for exporters and businesses, facilitating smoother movement of goods between the two key trading destinations.
The launch further reinforces Kochi’s growing importance as an international air cargo gateway, expanding its connectivity with major global logistics and trade hubs.
With the addition of flydubai’s freighter operations, CIAL continues to strengthen its cargo infrastructure and international air freight network, creating new opportunities for Kerala’s export community and the wider business sector.
