    French ocean carrier CMA CGM has informed its customers of an overweight surcharge (OWS) effective from 6 July 2024 (loading date) until further notice.

    The surcharge applies to cargo originating from the Middle East Gulf and destined for North Europe, Scandinavia & Poland, West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Baltic, North Africa, and Morocco.

    The surcharge will be US$200 per 20′ dry container with a gross weight of 15 tons or more.
