The Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) and The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in promoting the role of aviation—specifically air cargo—in driving economic and social development in India and the broader region.
The agreement covers multiple areas of collaboration, including safety enhancement, capacity building, policy advocacy, supply chain security, sustainability initiatives, climate action, and knowledge exchange. It also provides ACFI with access to TIACA’s BlueSky Program, training library, Climate Action Platform, and Cargo Service Quality (CSQ) framework, alongside joint participation in events and conferences.
“ACFI is a distinctive nationwide forum representing the entire air cargo logistics and supply chain industry, partnering in progress with industry and government through strong national and international linkages to propel progress, harmony, integrated development, and economic prosperity of the Indian economy,” said Sanjiv Edward, President of ACFI.
Highlighting the significance of the partnership, Steven Polmans, Chair of TIACA, stated, “This MoU marks a significant step in fostering closer collaboration between TIACA and ACFI, reflecting our shared commitment to driving innovation, sustainability, and resilience in the air cargo industry. By combining our strengths, we aim to elevate India’s role in the global supply chain and support broader economic and social development across the region.”
