The vessel MV Parvaraj carrying 53,300 metric tonnes of maize was flagged off from Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited, marking a major boost for agricultural exports from Andhra Pradesh and opening new international market opportunities for farmers amid a bumper harvest season.
The maize shipment, destined for Vietnam, highlights the growing role of the port in strengthening the agricultural supply chain and enabling faster access to global markets. The initiative was facilitated in coordination with district authorities, the Agriculture Department and port officials to ensure better price realization for farmers facing surplus production in local markets.
By supporting seamless export logistics and efficient cargo handling, AKPL continues to reinforce its position as a key agri-export gateway on India’s east coast. The development is expected to enhance market connectivity, improve farmer incomes and strengthen the region’s agricultural value chain.
