Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) hosted the Austrian Federal Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, along with his delegation during an official visit aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation and knowledge exchange.

The delegation was received by Shri Girish Thomas, Chief General Manager (Traffic), and was presented with an overview of JNPA’s operations through an engaging session supported by JNPA and Vadhvan port development films. Discussions focused on the evolving dynamics of the global maritime industry, with particular emphasis on digitalisation, sustainability initiatives, and operational advancements at the port.

JNPA also highlighted its strong global connectivity and long-term strategic vision to enhance international maritime linkages, while exploring potential avenues for collaboration with Austrian stakeholders in the maritime and logistics sectors.

The visit included a guided tour of the port, offering the delegation a firsthand experience of JNPA’s operations and infrastructure. The interaction enabled a productive exchange of ideas on port technologies and operational efficiency, further reinforcing prospects for future cooperation between the two sides.
