In a landmark development for India’s maritime sector, Bapu’s Shipping Jamnagar Pvt. Ltd., a flagship company of the Bapu’s Group of Companies, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, to develop a state-of-the-art shipbuilding facility capable of constructing vessels up to 120 meters in length overall (LOA).
This strategic partnership marks a major step forward in advancing India’s shipbuilding capabilities, aligning with the national visions of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047. The facility aims to boost domestic ship construction, promote technological innovation, and enhance India’s maritime infrastructure and global competitiveness.
The MoU was signed in the presence of key dignitaries including Shri P. K. Roy (Joint Secretary – Ministry of Shipping), Shri Sushil Kumar Singh (Chairman – DPA), and Shri Bhupendrasinh Jadeja (Chairman – Bapu’s Group).
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Bhupendrasinh Jadeja, Chairman of Bapu’s Group, expressed gratitude to Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, Chairman of Deendayal Port Authority, for his visionary leadership and strong commitment to fostering India’s shipbuilding growth.
