    Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) Ernakulam has been awarded the prestigious Depot Darpan Award for Best Managed Non-Foodgrain Warehouse for 2025–26, recognising its excellence in warehouse management, operational efficiency, safety standards, hygiene, and customer service.

    The award was presented to Ms. Kavya Krishna, Warehouse Manager, CWC Ernakulam, by Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi during the launch of the Smart Warehousing System by the Department of Food and Public Distribution.

    The event was attended by Minister of State Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, Secretary of the Department of Food and Public Distribution Sanjeev Chopra, Additional Secretary Anita Karn, Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises K. Moses Chalai, Chairman and Managing Director of Food Corporation of India Rabindra Kumar Agrawal, and Managing Director of Central Warehousing Corporation Santosh Sinha.

    The recognition highlights the sustained efforts of the Ernakulam warehouse team in maintaining high operational standards and reinforces the Kochi Region’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in warehousing operations. The achievement is expected to further strengthen CWC Ernakulam’s reputation as a benchmark facility in India’s warehousing and logistics sector.
